Our Story

From Curry Ono to Kamome



Our restaurant was established in 2011 as Curry Ono, Japanese Kitchen in Brixton,  one of the most multi-cultural area in London.  We initially specialised in Japanese curry, which is milder than the Indian variety from which it originates.   ‎Curry was first introduced to Japan by the British navy in the 19th century and is now a popular staple.   Over the years, we have gradually refined our menu, responding to the preferences of our customers as a founding member of Brixton’s cosmopolitan foodie community.
